Health Care Associated Infections

Senate Bill 408 "Hospital Acquired Infection Act"

NMHA serves on the Health Care Associated Infections Advisory Committee (HAIAC) which reported data collected from six hospitals on:

  • Central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs)
  • Influenza vaccination rates of health care workers

New Mexico hospitals that participated in the Pilot are:

  • University of New Mexico Hospital, Albuquerque
  • Memorial Medical Center, Las Cruces
  • San Juan Regional Medical Center, Farmington
  • Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center, Alamogordo
  • Presbyterian Hospital, Albuquerque
