Patient Safety

NMHA continues to foster and sustain patient safety programs for member hospitals, offering guidance to promote the use of relevant clinical outcomes on evidence-based practice that dramatically improve patient safety.

Objectives

  • Support patient safety activities in hospitals
  • Determine and publish state-wide best practices
  • Develop tools and resources for hospitals
  • Promote targeted, short-term patient safety practice improvements
  • Continue to liaison with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to focus on high-leverage changes to transform care
