NMHA continues to foster and sustain patient safety programs for member hospitals, offering guidance to promote the use of relevant clinical outcomes on evidence-based practice that dramatically improve patient safety.

Objectives

  • Support patient safety activities in hospitals
  • Determine and publish federal and state best practice and legislative initiatives
  • Promote targeted, short-term patient safety practice improvements
  • Collaborate with key partners around the issue of patient safety
  • Coordinate initiatives and assist hospitals in cross-walking these activities and requirements
